I started going there because a friend of mine lives right in front of it and used to go all the time. Since it’s a nice place to just relax, read a book, have a picnic and it’s very close to my house, I find it the best thing for a Sunday. I generally go when I have no worries in mind, in the afternoon, for example, just to be alone and do nothing else.

São Paulo has too many buildings: so, as the biggest chunk of this park is really up high, from there it is possible to see a great green area that other parks don’t usually have – and much of the city as well.

But the main thing – and the meaning of the nickname given to it – is that you can see the sun setting from there. Of course, the buildings are still there, but watching the sun go down behind the trees is very beautiful, it really pays off to go at this time of the day!

Empecé a ir porque una amiga vive enfrente y siempre estaba por allí. Como es un lugar lindo para relajarse, leer un libro, hacer picnic y está cerca de casa, es mi mejor opción para el domingo.
Por lo general voy cuando estoy tranquila, un domingo por la tarde, para estar sola y no hacer nada más.
São Paulo tiene muchos edificios. Entonces, como la plaza se encuentra en un lugar muy alto, desde allí es posible ver un gran área verde que otras plazas no tienen -y mucho de la ciudad.

Pero lo principal -y la razón de ser de esa plaza es la puesta del sol! Lógico que los edificios siguen el paisaje, pero ver el sol bajar por detrás de los árboles es muy bonito: ¡vale la pena ir y ver la puesta!

Eu comecei a ir por causa de uma amiga minha que mora em frente e sempre ia pra lá. Como é um bom lugar para ficar relaxando, lendo um livro, fazendo piquenique e é perto de casa, é a minha melhor opção para o domingo. Geralmente vou quando estou tranquila, à tarde, por exemplo, para ficar sozinha e não fazer mais nada.

São Paulo tem prédio demais: então, como um grande pedaço da praça fica bem no alto, de lá é possível ver uma grande área verde que outras praças não têm – e muito da cidade.

Mas o principal – e o motivo do apelido que a praça ganhou – que se pode ver dali é o pôr do sol! Lógico, ainda estão lá os prédios, mas ver o sol descer assim por detrás das árvores é muito bonito, vale a pena ir nessa hora!
