I'm a regular visitor of Parque do Povo since it wasn't ready yet, when the construction crew was still working on it, because is so absolutely close to my home and I just couldn't resist the temptation of having such a good place for working out, almost like a mini-marquise.
Since it's relatively new, there are few trees yet, but every time I go I can see they've grown a little more. And although it is located right next to Marginal Pinheiros, with all those cars and futuristic buildings, when you're there you can't really feel where you are - and that's a delicious contradiction!
It is not full of people and not too big either, so it's very cozy, a place intended for inhabitants of the area and occasional visitors to enjoy. It gets a little crowded only at rush-hours, when people are coming and going from and to work, as they use the place as a way to get to or get out of the train station.
I love the spaces that the park has, very good for dance training, it has several sheltered spots, streets for running, courts for sports... for those who go riding a bike, the bicycle lane has an almost-round circuit shape, so it's easy and fun to cycle on.
In the summer it's really a nice place for a walk and the park is perfect for having a picnic on a Sunday evening.
Each time you go there you'll find different types of good looking people: families go there on weekend mornings, in the afternoon teenagers are most likely to be there and the healthy and fit boys and girls show up when the sun is setting and stay for the evening...
