Estadão is an absolute classic in Downtown and of the city. It’s not super cheap and not too expensive either, but I can assure the quality of its food.
It stays open 24 hours a day and you can find all types of people there at each period of time – and it’s always crammed. Where else would you eat, for example, roasted ribs at 3 o’clock in the morning?
And that’s not all of it: spaghetti, rice and beans, some beef hash… everything on the menu is served at all times.
But the pork sandwich is what makes the name of this place – a tradition that I like to order with cheese and in the “canoe” bread, which comes with more filling than usual. A bit of the house’s chili in oil on top and I’m in heaven at any time of the day or night.
They roast over 30 pork legs a day. Up to fifty! But it’s the whole leg – can you imagine how many sandwiches they deliver? Over a thousand every day.
